STRUKTUR - THE SKI TRACK IN THE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE

back to magazine overview

As part of MEISTERSTRASSE in Residence, the advertising filmmaker Hanno Mackowitz, who was born in Vorarlberg and lives in Innsbruck, presented his freeride art film "Struktur - Die Skispur in der Kulturlandschaft" on February 6th.

Hanno Mackowitz was on the road with freeride world champion Lorraine Huber on the Arlberg in the last two years.

In his award-winning film, Hanno Mackowitz's aim is to illustrate the increasing human intervention in the regulatory circuits of nature and the establishment of man-made structures in the natural environment, using the example of Arlberg, Austria's largest contiguous skiing area and one of the most important in the world. Lorraine pulls - captured in an extremely aesthetic pictorial language - her turns in the open ski space, close to the manifest signs of the man-made landscape.

"Structure - The ski track in the cultural landscape" will be shown again on March 8th at Strolz Rent a Ski, Lech Zentrum in the presence of Hanno Mackowitz. The event starts at 5:30 pm and is free of charge.
