For the past eight years Tim Hall has been on a photographic journey across the Alps. Travelling between Chamonix and Cortina capturing the beautiful landscapes as part homage to the 18th century artists who took the Grand Tour and part quest to discover what has made these famous mountains and resorts so popular over the past 100 years.

Tims journey has taken him across the seasons through Chamonix, Gstaad, Verbier, Zermatt, Andermatt, Lech, Zürs, St Anton, St Moritz, Garmisch, Kitzbuehel and Cortina. Along the way I has shot some of the most famous mountains in Europe including Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, the Eiger, Zugspitze and the mighty Dolomites. The book will contain over 150 colour and b/w photographs.
The 200 page hardcover book which will be published by Te Neues in September. The book will contain words by Sophie Benge and philosophical quotes about mountains by famous writers such as Robert Macfarlane, John Ruskin and John Muir.
Every book that you buy will be signed by me and will include every backers name printed in all the books distributed around the world.
Every t-shirt, postcard, book and print that you purchase will go towards the production of a public touring exhibition. Your pledges will enable me to print, design and frame a set of thirty top quality large format works. These will be announced as the campaign progresses.
