The perfect spring ski day

back to magazine overview

There are those days, when everything runs perfectly. One of those days, was last Saturday. This good feeling already started with a look at the weather forecast: Sunshine all day long and pleasant temperatures – so don`t forget your sunglasses!

I start my skiday with a ride on the Rüfikopf cablecar.

. I just love the epic view towards Zürs and the White Ring when I am standing on the top of the mountain. Let`s go – I can`t wait for a lot of skiing now. The slopes are groomed so perfectly, that I feel like a little racer today.

It takes me around half an hour and I am standing at the beginning of the lovely Zürser Täli run.

The panoramic view towards St. Christoph, Arlbergpass till the end of the Arlberg ski resort Rendl is just awesome. Without stopping I ski down the Zürser Täli and head towards the Trittkopf Gondola. On the top of the mountain I am greeted by the next epic panoramic view down to Stuben and the Klostertal. This view also accompanies me on my ride down – again without a single stop. Awww – this makes me almost addicted! I want more!

And again - and again...

Though, I decide to take the same skiround again – namely Seekopf – Muggengrat – Zürser Täli – Trittkopf. After that, I set out for Madloch, to finish the White Ring. There, I still find perfect snow conditions without moguls on 1.15 p.m. – just awesome!

For lunch, I am skiing down to Oberlech

Because after all I have reserved a place in the gourmet restaurant Murmeli. Sitting on the small and cosy sun terrace I enjoy my view over the still snow packed roofs towards the majestic Omeshorn. I order a special fish dish: “Sesame baked Cod with potato salad and herbal mayonnaise.– oh that was delicious! :)

Keep on going

With that refreshment I feel still good enough to have another skiround in Lech. After all, I am sitting in the last run of the Steinmäder chairlift that takes me once more to around 2.300m. From there I enjoy one last time speedcarving on the Geißrück-run. At the end I am skiing alone through the Zuger Tobel towards the little hamlet Zug.

Because I have one last goal

The sun downer party on the Balmalp. With good vibes and an almost 360 degree panoramic view on the surrounding mountains like Omeshorn, Mehlsack and Rote Wand I finish my perfect spring-ski-day here with some good friends and a cool beer! Cheers!
